By combining rule-based NLP with decentralized blockchain protocols and community incentives via NLPX, we enable a new model of trust-based AI development — one rooted in logic, transparency, and shared knowledge.
World-Governing Body of Digital NLP
The NLP Foundation will become the governing body of all digital human language dictionaries, knowledge bases, and algorithms that allow computer programs to read and understand text as we humans. The Foundation will be keeper of all the digital dictionaries in the world created, maintained, and augmented by humans on the NLP Blockchain.
Building the permanent, open infrastructure for deterministic, human-level NLP.
The NLP Foundation is constructing the foundational bricks that natural language processing has always needed — governed dictionaries, certified knowledge bases, validated linguistic algorithms, and the blockchain infrastructure to make it all trustworthy, controllable, and permanent. The goal is NLP that can be understood, fixed, and eventually brought to human-level ability.
Why This Matters

Modern NLP — including large language models — produces results that cannot be reliably explained, corrected, or governed. The NLP Foundation exists to build an alternative path: one grounded in deterministic, explainable, and controllable language processing using NLP++ and open governance structures that any language and any institution can participate in.
This is not a research paper. It is an institution being built brick by brick, designed to last for decades and ultimately reach human-level natural language understanding.
The Destination
NLP that is deterministic, controllable, and suitable for high-stakes applications — medicine, law, education, government — where errors must be findable, fixable, and preventable. And eventually, NLP that reaches human-level ability in understanding language across all major languages.

The NLP Blockchain
The blockchain is the infrastructure layer that makes governance of all the above trustworthy, permanent, and auditable. It records the creation and evolution of dictionaries, knowledge bases, and algorithms in a way that cannot be altered or lost. This is the brick we are currently seeking a university student team to help build.
Funding the mission
To fund the start of the NLP Foundation, we are pursuing applied verticals in the medical field — an area where NLP++ can deliver immediate, high-value real-world results, and where determinism and correctability are not optional but essential.
The university opportunity — NLP Blockchain
The NLP Blockchain is an integral brick in the foundation’s mission. We are seeking a self-organized university student team — ideally a formal club or organization — to take ownership of leading its development. The NLP Foundation founders will serve as advisors and as the client.
This is not a class assignment. It is a real project with real stakeholders, real long-term impact, and a founding team students can be proud to have been part of for the rest of their careers. It will require both programmers and business-minded students working together.
Working on a real, active project is one of the strongest signals a student can send to future employers — far beyond coursework or internships. You will be building something that actually exists, solving problems that have never been solved, and working alongside experienced professionals in NLP, blockchain, and enterprise technology.
And as the NLP Blockchain grows, it will require full-time employees. The students who helped build it from the ground up will be the first people we look to.
